Welcome to Ohio University’s Women’s and Gender Studies Student Journal, Indigo. We publish work by Ohio University students, faculty and community members. Since we are a weekly publication we have a rolling deadline. Time-sensitive pieces are published on Thursdays; submit by Mondays.

Indigo is a place for students to share work they have been pursuing both within and outside of the classroom. We encourage submissions of all kinds that engage questions of gender and diversity. We welcome fiction, nonfiction, event previews/reviews, music and movie reviews, etc.

The title Indigo is derived from the combined colors of the United States women’s suffrage movement, purple, white, and green. Likewise feminism can be expressed in many shades, including journal entries. Thank you for visiting our site!
